  • World Brick Museum

    World brick museum was originally built for torpedo storage in 1903. It is one of the oldest existing steel-framed brick buildings in Japan. It was opened as a museum featureing bricks in 1993.

    Maizuru city Commemoration Hall

    This building was built as a warehouse of the former navy in 1902. It was used as a gun barrel warehouse until the end of the war and then opened as meeting and exchange place to study history and experience culture in 1994.

    Maizuru Chiegura (Wisdom Warehouse)

    This building was built as a warehouse of the former navy in 1902. It opened as a place to inherit the wisdom of the predecessor and nurture wisdom in 2007. There is Akarenga shop selling Maizuru surveniors and specialities.

    Akarenga Event Hall

    This building was built as a warehouse of the former navy in 1918. It features a simple design that eliminates decoration. It was renovated as a multipurpose hall utilizing the large scale in 2012.

  • Akarenga Road

    Akarenga road is a cobbled road through the front of three red brick warehouses built in 1902. It was excavated by local citizen's hand work in 2004. Currently it is a passage from the private parking lot to the red brick park.
